LevelSmart

What is LevelSmart® Wireless Auto-fill?
Kona Labs LevelSmart® system is a wireless pool auto-fill, designed to keep your pool, spa, pond or water feature consistently full automatically. LevelSmart® operates without the use of wires, hoses, floats and any other moving or mechanical parts, thus eliminating all of the most common failure points.

Why choose LevelSmart®?

Kona Labs both invented and optimized the new technology that runs the lowest powered, highest functioning, and most sustainable auto-fill on the market today.

In a market that has been monopolized by three main products for the last 20 years, LevelSmart® has proven itself to be dominating competition. The reason behind this is because all of the other auto-fill systems lack revolutionizing technology. They work off mechanical systems that consistently fail and need adjustment.

LevelSmart® is a complete swimming pool auto-fill system that you place and ignore for years at a time.

Read more about why you should choose the Kona Labs LevelSmart® Wireless Auto-fill here.
Is it hard to use?
LevelSmart® is designed to have the most simple installation of any swimming pool auto-fill on the market today. It’s aftermarket application for retrofitting is one of its biggest advantages, and dramatically extends the possible applications.

Once you plumb the valve in and go through the 3-minute pairing process, it should be maintenance free for the next 10 years.

Why doesn’t the valve actuate and fill my pool immediately after set up when my water level is low?
The LevelSmart® system is strategically designed to activate one time per hour and record measurements of your water level. The first reading from your new LeverlSMart® Wireless Auto-fill will be taken 60 minutes after the device is set up.

Read more about the Kona Labs LevelSmart® Wireless Auto-fill here.
Why does my LevelSmart® go back into the sequential lighting scheme after it tries to pair?
This happens when the LevelSmart® device does not receive 100 percent of the 30 test signals it sent out. The LevelSmart® system only pairs if it has 100% signal. If you experience this, try to move your antenna higher, or closer to line of sight and then re-set your sensor to have it try and pair again. Keep in mind even 12 inches up or in a different direction can make an tremendous difference in signal strength.

What is the radio communication distance range on the LevelSmart® Wireless Auto-fill?
The maximum distance that communicators will work is 1,000 feet if the space between the sensor and valve controller is clear. Obstacles such as trees, walls, and hills variably shorten the operational distance.

Can there be 2 LevelSmart® leveler systems in the same vicinity without interference?
YES.

You can have any number of LevelSmart® auto-fill systems in the same vicinity, as long as each is set up at different times. For example, you can have one in your pool, one in your spa, and one in a fountain that are all located in your back yard without any issues, as long as they are set up at different times.

Why is my pool or spa overfilling?
While extremely uncommon, this question is very important.

If you experience this, there is a very simple solution. The valve we provide is a solenoid valve, and for it to be automation mode the solenoid needs to be turned into “OFF” position (tightened down all the way to the right). If it is not in “OFF” position that means it is manual mode and that your valve is open. Therefore, it is allowing water to flow into the pool or spa that you are filling.

Always make sure your solenoid is turned all the way to the right in the “OFF” position.

**IF YOUR INSTALL IS ON A SMALLER BODY OF WATER (such as a spa): Make sure your flow control knob is tightened down to the right to limit how much the valve opens when it is actuated. I recommend one or maybe two full turns to the left if you’re starting from the farthest right position.

What do the lights on the LevelSmart® indicate?
The lights on the Kona Labs LevelSmart® indicate the 4 different critical status codes for the device. Alarm, Sensor Good, Valve On, and Sensor Active. Each light indicates an action being taken by the controller.

Read more about the Kona Labs LevelSmart® Wireless Autofill here.
What do I do when the battery dies in the sensor? Do I have to replace everything?
No, The only part that needs to be replaced is the sensor, everything else can stay the same. The sensor should last you 7 years or more with no problems. When it does eventually die, you order a new sensor and simply replace it, then re-pair it with your valve controller and you will be good as new.

Order your replacement sensor here.
How do I best take care of my LevelSmart® when closing down the pool for winter?
The best thing to do is to unplug and dismount the antenna/valve controller from the valve and store it in a dry indoor place. The second step would to be duck tape the magnet onto the right side of the sensor to put it to sleep for winter, and leave it in place.

If you have specific questions regarding this, please send us a message through our contact page.

LP 2750

What is the LP-2750?
The LP- 2750 is a professional leak tool that measures the leak rate of your body of water in a very efficient test. It’s a “bucket test” in 15 minutes. Not only does it diagnose you pool or spa, but it can also tell you if the leak is located in the structure, returns, or suction side of the system by running 2 simple tests.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
How does the LP-2750 work?
The LP-2750 leak tool works by resting the base on the pool edge, and then adjusting the pod sensor so that it rests in the water at the given height. You then let the water fill the capsule and press start. The ball inside floats up and compresses the load cell, which measures how much it decompresses during the length of the test time. It translates the data into numbers used for accurate and efficient calculations.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
How sensitive is the LP-2750 leak sensor?
The LP-2750 is sensitive up 1/10,000th of an inch, with an all American made high quality load cell.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
What is the LP-2750 used for?
The LP- 2750 professional leak tool is used for leak detection in pools, spas, ponds, and water features. It immediately tells you if your problem exists within any of those bodies of water on your property. If you already know the leak is in the pool or spa, it gives you accurate leak rates in X amount of inches per 24 hours. The LP -2750 is also used for pool certification with a quick 15-minute test time.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
What does the LP-2750 cost?
Prices for the LP-2750 can be found at this page. The entire assembly is all American made, and holds a durable design that you cannot get anywhere else.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
What if the valve controller is not scanning looking for my new level sensor, OR how do I enter pairing mode?
Unplug it and plug it back in. If still not scanning, then place the magnet onto the face of the valve controller over the magnet switch area. Note the red LED is on. Hold the magnet on the face of the valve controller for at least 25 seconds and then remove the magnet. The valve controller will begin to scan.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
Can the Lp-2750 save tests?
Yes, it can save up to 10 tests but does not have a printing or download to a laptop capability.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
Where does the 'pool guy' or leak detector benefit?
You get rid of rollouts! The bucket test requires 24-hours of testing time and multiple visits to the same place for one test. The LP-2750 it eliminates that. It also gives the customer a visual display of the leak and eliminates arguments with the customer assuming that the pool is still leaking from evaporation.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
What is the test time on a spa or small pond?
The test time is 7-10 minutes on a spa or smaller body of water. If the leak is significant you can tell within the first 2 minutes that you have a leak.

See more about the LP-2750 here.
What is included with the LP-2750 tool kit?
The LP comes with a carrying case, a down sample tube to decrease time of measurement in windy and turbulent conditions, and the hand held unit which displays your information.
